Mary-Grace's school had a sort of "ho down" I guess you can call it. They had been learning different dances during the school year and this was their time to show the parents all the fancy steps. They learned the 2 step, cha-cha slide, cupid shuffle and the cotton-eyed-joe just to name a few. At one point we were invited to join in on some of the line dances, I can say there was a lot of feet stomping in the gym that day. It still amazes me that I'm old enough to have a child doing the same dances I was doing what seems just a few years ago. I truly don't ever remember MY parents teaching me their dances and thinking it was cool....this definitely was no "sock hop"!
